Inductoheat Satisfies the needs of the Forging
Industries with
UNIFORGE |
|
| |
 |
Compactness |
|
| |
Most forge shops have grown leaving just enough space between Ihe pieces of forg-ing equipment to permit placement of oil or gas fired forge furnaces. Thus space is very limited and compactness of an Induction heater is of great importance.
"UNIFORGE" is the most compact induction heater available. A complete 750KW heater except for water recirculating and cooling equipment, can be installed in a floor space of 5 square meters, and a 1000KW unit in 5.5 square meters.
Water equipments can be located remotely. |
| |
 |
Portability |
|
| |
Because of The nature of forging, in which high impact forces are common, the rela tive uptime on forging equipment is low.
Many times, the equipment can be down for weeks, even months, for repair. It is costly To leave an indution heater idle during that time. It's highly desirable to be able to move it readily.
A 750 KW "UNIFORGE weighs less than 2.5 tonne and can be readily moved with a fork lift. Only utilities need to be made available at the new location. |

 |
Low Installation Costs |
|
| |
Together with ready portability, the
complete interconnection of all
components of "UNIFORGE"
at Inductoheat makes
it the simplest to install.
With integral manual cold stock handling and standard hot stock handling equipment, the only installation requirement is to bring water and power to the equipment. If automated cold and hot stock handling equipment and water recirculating and cooling system are selected, these would . of course, have to be installed separately ; but whatever the configuration, the installation is least expensive of all induction heaters, |

 |
Quick Change over |
|
| |
With the "Just in time" manufacturing phi-losophy in vogue today, forgers are faced with smaller lot sizes. The more change-overs necessary, the more important quick change-over capabilities in the induction heater become.
Use of quick disconnect fittings on the coil.water and power connection, plus a unique coil mounting design permits coil change-over in less than 10 minutes. Simple adjustments to the pinch drive and power settings complete the change – over. |
| |
 |
Reliability |
|
| |
The power circuitry of "UNIFORGE" embodies the latest technology. The devices have been minimized and the most powerful devices have been used to insure maximum, reliability. A unique coil design had also been incorporated to insure coil reliability. |
| |
 |
Low Power Consumption |
|
| |
The power factor of the "UNIFORGE" is a constant 0.95 through the entire heat cycle. This means that the input KVA requirement of the Inductoheat system is the absolute minimum, resulting in low electrical and demand costs and low electrical installation costs. Competitive units on the other hand, have a power factor that can change from as low as 0.3 up to 0.9 during a heat cycle The result is high electrical demand costs and high electrical installation costs. |
| |
 |
Ease of Maintenance |
|
| |
The door panels of the "UNIFORGE" enclo sure readily permit double sided access to the power and water components. UNIFORGE" represents not only a significant advance in induction heating technology, but also a new approach to making such equipment available to the forging industry. |
