Digital/Analog Solid State
Induction Heating Power Supplies |
| |
Lepel has combined advanced technology with more than 70 years of induction heating experience to produce the LSS Digital, The "Expert Tune" feature helps assure maximum power over a wide range of loads.
The LSS Digital/Analog features a digital display panel to
control its operation, the Digiital meters display percentage, actual and maximum values for power, current, voltage, and frequency. An alphanumeric display provides operating status and tuning information. |

100% Solid State Design |
| |
High-power high frequency MOSFET transistors provide consistent power, eliminating the warm-up period and reduced output often experienced with aging vacuum tube units. |
| |
Easy Impedance Matching |
| |
An external, six-position rotary tap switch greatly facilitates impedance matching via a variable ratio isolation transformer. Switch is optional on LSS 60. A safety feature prevents switching under load. |
| |
More Accurate Power |
| |
Output power varies no more than +/- 0.5% over line variations of +/-10% for typical applications. |
| |
Higher Power Factory |
| |
| Diode rectification provides an input power factor of at least 0.95 at any load. |
| |
Higher Efficiency |
| |
| Conversion efficiency recduces energy cost and cooling water requirements. |
| |
No Electrolysis |
| |
The cooling water never comes in contact wtih DC potentials, eliminating both electrolysis and corrosion of the water fittings |
| |
Noise Reduction |
| |
A rugged DC diode bridge and DC filter minimize the effects of line noise and harmonic feedback on the input line. |
| |
Automatic Operation |
| |
| The built-in digital timer can provide output power for a pre-set time period. |
| |
Remote Operation |
| |
| An optional heat station allows operation at distances up to 100 feet from the LSS. |
| |
Simplified Output Control: |
| |
| Power, voltage or current can be easiliy regulated with controls coveniently located on the front panel. |
| |
Remote Control: |
| |
| The LSS can be operated from an auxiliary digital control panel. |
